Only an hour and a half away, in Keizer, Oregon, was the one and only In-N-Out burger in the entire state. The mecca of burgers.

There’s gonna be a learning curve for a while…
We’re headed up California the long way and the plan is to do it in three hops to keep the drive times down a bit.
The first hop in Santa Barbara was extra sucky. I did not enjoy our time there at all. No parking, streets just PACKED on random weekday nights. Shut out at a restaurant we wanted, and the stand-in was pretty blah. All in all, just the worst elements of small beach towns all piled together.
The park we were at not only did not have wifi – even the “lodge” with “wifi” was so slow as to be literally useless – but no CELL service either. That, was unexpected and indescribably inconvenient for our first week.
The RV (Still looking for the name) is just packed. Wall to wall. Of course, we kept way too much stuff and are spending a lot of time sorting, organizing, discarding, and finding the right places for everything. Rinse and repeat.
Next stop is in Gilroy/Morgan Hills, near San Jose.
